Parkerville Pool Pavillion

Our client approached us to design their new pool and outdoor living area with a pool pavilion building to provide guest accommodation and an activity space for their teenage children.

A sense of privacy and scale was generated on this large rural property by creating an intimate courtyard space between the original house, the new pavilion building and the new above ground pool.

The new additions have a strong visual connection to main house, while communicating a distinct character of their own. The existing outdoor dining area leads directly onto the new pool and outdoor entertaining area. A tilt-up window opens a small bar onto a shaded terrace for poolside entertaining. Silicon jointed corner windows provide uninterrupted views over the established gardens and the horse paddocks beyond.

The pavilion was designed for maximum flexibility of use. It provides a luxury retreat for guests and can accommodate teenage parties, but it could also function as a fully self-contained ancillary dwelling for adult children or elderly parents, in the future.
